From Trumpism and the rise of the alt-right to the ever present nonsense spouted by climate change deniers, we’re constantly on our toes, trying to fight off the forces of evil and insanity and adapt to the ‘New World Disorder’ we find ourselves living in.
It’s a lot to take in. And it’s an issue we take very seriously at Don’t Cry Wolf – the fight against misinformation informs everything we do. Which is why it was a natural choice for us to make the first issue of our brand spanking new print magazine – the Don’t Cry Wolf Quarterly.
Introducing the DCW Quarterly
A comms business choosing to market itself through a quarterly print publication might seem a little strange. But, we think there’s real value in taking a step back and dwelling on issues in more detail. Our news cycle is so frenetic, it’s hard to get a real sense of the major issues of the day. With a quarterly publication we can take a more measured look at the social, political and environmental trends shaping our world and how communicators are using and abusing them. It’s a vital part of our work as a brand activism agency – we can’t help clients make the world a better place if we’re not dedicating the time and headspace to tackling the issues ourselves.
Each issue will take on a different theme with contributors from across our team and friends of the agency writing about an issue they find urgent and important.
In this first edition you’ll find essays on the rise of the alt-right, greenwashing ,and an in-depth exploration of how brands are faring in the fight against misinformation. These are complemented by shorter features on issues related to the New World Disorder we find ourselves living in.
And if we might be allowed to say so ourselves, it looks fucking brilliant. Every essay features a unique layout inspired by our theme.
